Yes, Virginia, it's a cat head, but there's nothing gruesome about it. Just a dandy place to hang coats, leashes, or whatever else you don't want laying on the floor.
Measures 3.75" wide & 4¼". The casting quality of this is quite good.
PLEASE NOTE - this, like all of our cast iron, is a reproduction. We have seen these being weathered and sold as actual antiques both on Ebay and in antique stores.
Unless noted, all items are sand-cast. The surfaces can have bumps and other irregularities, and the painted finishes will vary in consistency. These are not considered defects and just add to the overall vintage/creepy look of the items.
