Too Hot to Handle

Posted by The Critter Wranglers on

After our initial excitement and all the preparation, we ended up not going to Lancaster Pride because of the weather. We've vended in downpours, in snow and sleet, and on other very hot days. However, when the National Weather Service forecast for high temperatures starts using words like "dangerous" and "extreme" and "record-breaking", well, it seemed like a good idea to not risk it.  In over five years of being in business, this was the first event we've had to back out of. We were just approved to vend at Lancaster Pride on August 20th, and we're very excited! Although there are always challenges with outdoor events (especially in August) it should be a great show. Regardless, we'd be happy to go back next year. Our 3-buck bags were quite popular, and we also sold a few random pieces of antique frippery. Sir Bastian Wakefield found a forever home,...

One of the new Critters coming to Central PA ComicCon this weekend. Meet Drake Mallard, better known as a certain crime-fighting aquatic waterfowl. Kinda surprised we didn't think of this before.
